A TikTok influencer has been arrested after ‘trying to poison her husband’ in Mallorca with a ‘drugged glass of wine’.

Amanda Jeffrey, 45, was arrested by Spain’s National Police in Palma de Mallorca on Wednesday on suspicion of attempting to poison her husband Victor.

The mum-of-one, who is a Spanish citizen but has one British parent, was pictured being led by officers in handcuffs.

She was allowed to walk free from court on Thursday with a restraining order, which would typically prevent her from seeing her husband.

Victor spent four days in hospital after consuming a drink allegedly prepared by her spiked with tranquillisers.

According to Diario de Mallorca, Amanda passed her husband the glass of wine during a dinner on January 10.

In his report to police, Victor said that his wife had opened a bottle of wine she had been gifted by a hotel.

But it is claimed after pouring the tipple she suggested they swap glasses as she didn’t want to ‘drink that much’.

Amanda said he had drunk the wine but noticed it had a strange taste and suddenly felt drowsy.

He then lost consciousness for 15 hours and was taken to the hospital.

Tests allegedly found his blood contained a high quantity of benzodiazepine, a sedative often used to treat anxiety and insomnia.

Believing his wife had tried to kill him, Victor reported his incident to the police.

A blogger and writer, Amanda has more than 400,000 followers on Instagram.

In 2014, she made a documentary titled Mallorca No Es Magaluf in an attempt to shake off stereotypes about the popular tourist island.
