Manchester United have held talks over a potential deal to sign Rennes striker Kader Meite, according to reports.
The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising young forwards in French football and has scored three goals for Rennes this season.
At international level, Meite has made three appearances for France’s Under-21s, playing alongside United defender Leny Yoro, Spurs forward Mathys Tel and the highly rated defender Jeremy Jacquet, who is wanted by Chelsea.
According to The Guardian, United have been monitoring Meite’s progress at Rennes and have made contact with the striker’s representatives to discuss a possible move to Old Trafford.
